Press Release

There’s plenty of room to grow in new headquarters and larger farm.

Oregon’s Wild Harvest move to Redmond, Oregon is bittersweet.

Redmond, Oregon – December 1, 2014

After more than 20 years growing, harvesting and manufacturing high quality, whole herbal supplements in Sandy, Oregon the company was literally bursting at the seams.  The discovery of a 47,000 sq. ft. facility in Redmond near a recently purchased 139-acre farm with clean soil and good water along the Crooked River in Culver, Oregon was just too good an opportunity to pass up.

So, in early October 2014 Oregon’s Wild Harvest moved their entire operation to Redmond, Oregon. The farm in Sandy will remain operational through the summer.

It was very hard to leave the Sandy farm where it all began for co-founders Pam Martin-Buresh and Randy Buresh. Randy Buresh said: “When my wife Pam and I started this company we couldn’t have known what an amazing trip it would be. Now, after more than 20 years of working the land manufacturing herbal products in Sandy, Oregon we’ve moved to Redmond where we can really spread out.”

“People who have visited us in Sandy are often amazed by how much we can accomplish in such a small space. It’s very hard to leave such a special place. I know many visitors have fond memories of all the herb walks."

“The move to Redmond is a huge opportunity for us to spread out. We’ll have more room for plant testing, quality assurance and research into improvements in herbal medicine. Our success as a company has always been fueled by the complicity of our commitment to Mother Nature and science."

“This mission we’re on is about our future generations. Our job is to protect clean soil, seeds and water and insure that there will always be access to good quality certified organic plant material. It’s important for our health and the health of the planet.”

Upon announcing the move to employees, about 50% of them agreed to move with the company to Redmond. A few are staying behind in Sandy but continue working for the company virtually.

Randy Buresh, co-founder and owner of Oregon’s Wild Harvest said: “It is indeed humbling that so many of our employees uprooted their families and sold their homes to move with us. They believe in the same mission as we do. It’s just so much bigger than us now.”
