Digital Marketing Strategist - Redmond, OR


Job Summary

Working in partnership with a small, industrious marketing and sales team, the Digital Marketing Strategist serves as the company’s website administrator, ensuring the day-to-day functionality of the e-commerce site, executing online sales and engagement strategies. This position also leads the company’s social media program and serves in a support role on e-mail marketing efforts.

This position reports to and works closely with the Director of Marketing to build seasonal campaigns linked to our farm, production/products and lifestyle themes. You’ll integrate digital and content strategies into the overall marketing and sales game plan.

The ideal candidate will bring both creative and analytical skills, with experience in web administration and a track record of building and engaging online communities. We’re looking for someone with copywriting talent and technical know-how. In addition to collaborating with OWH colleagues, you’ll collaborate with designers, IT experts and e-commerce consultants, as needed.

Key Function/Job Responsibilities

  1. Website administration, which includes daily monitoring of site functionality and making monthly updates to reflect campaigns, seasons and promotions
  2. Establish metrics to allow us to monitor traffic and UX; Generate monthly reports, recognizing trends and troubleshooting data anomalies
  3. Help the company prioritize and focus on what we can do well, doubling down on dynamic content that can get us the most results
  4. Create content and engaging copy that helps people make it from our homepage to the check-out button
  5. Collaborate with the Director of Marketing on email marketing programs (wholesale and consumer facing) and execution
  6. Track the performance of digital campaigns on various platforms and acting on those results to optimize consumer engagement and create brand experiences
  7. Stay on top of changes in the digital marketing environment
  8. Provide technical and strategic guidance for other web-based projects within the company
  9. Identify areas of growth or useful technologies/partners to consider in growing e-commerce sales, including investments needed to meet online sales goals (adwords, boosted posts, etc.)


 

Qualifications/Skills

Education: A bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3-years of proven experience in content development, web administration, social media management and email marketing

Skills (Concrete examples required)

  1. Familiarity with the e-commerce platform Shopify, and a willingness to be trained on Shopify by our contract website designer
  2. Experience in SEO, SEM, remarketing
  3. The ability to evaluate a consumer's purchase path on a website, and how to optimize navigation
  4. Working knowledge of MailChimp and A/B email/e-news testing
  5. Strong writing, proof-reading and communications skills; strong attention to detail
  6. Knowledge of how to develop paid search and PPC campaigns management
  7. CMS administration including users, taxonomy and content
  8. Experience running a Facebook and Instagram ads
  9. Must have experience taking professional looking social media photos and video; experience with online video editing tools a plus
  10. Experience using Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Loomly or similar social media management tools
  11. Self-directed with the ability to work independently, as well as within a small leadership team
  12. Experience in health/natural products industry a plus!
  13. Must be organized, analytical, creative and be a problem solver
  14. Must have a driver’s license and ability to travel to our farm for photos, when needed

Production Associate - Redmond, OR


Job Summary

The primary function of this job will require worker to follow all SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) to ensure all products are compliant with our exceptionally high manufacturing standards and product is available to ship as scheduled.

Ability to follow all SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) as indicated below:

  1. Bottling/Packaging/Labeling
    1. Blending
    2. Milling
    3. Encapsulating
    4. Raw Materials Handling
    5. Bulk Packaging and Teas
    6. Bulk Capsules
    7. Finished Goods
    8. Extracts
    9. Quarantine
  2. Ensure no cross contamination with products
  3. Inspect all products during manufacture and packaging while maintaining high quality standards
  4. Inform Production Supervisor or QC of any and all irregularities or concerns
  5. Perform cleaning and sanitation duties according to SOP’s; as assigned by management team
  6. Treats others with courtesy and respect; understands the value of cooperating with others and teamwork, as well as being able to work independently
  7. Understands and follows OWH basic rules, policies and procedures (attendance, safety, business conduct, etc.)
  8. Other duties as assigned by management team


 

Qualifications/Skills

Education:     High School Diploma or GED
Certification:   NCRC preferred
Experience:    1-3 years of experience in a production or similar environment strongly preferred

Skills:

  1. Must be dependable, accurate, and possess integrity and commitment to high quality standards
  2. Ability to perform basic math/algebra functions to complete Production paperwork
  3. Strong communication skills (oral and written)
  4. Strong interpersonal skills, ability to work collaboratively as a part of a team

Maintenance Technician - Redmond, OR


Job Summary

The maintenance technician position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment according to safety, predictive and productive maintenance systems and processes to support the achievement of the site’s business goals and objectives.

Key Function/Job Responsibilities

  1. Install machines and equipment and perform regular preventive maintenance and service on said machines, equipment and OWH facility
  2. Provide emergency/unscheduled repairs of production equipment during production; diagnose problems, replace or repair parts, test and make adjustments
  3. Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities
  4. Perform mechanic skills including, but not limited to, mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, troubleshooting and repair of production machines
  5. Implement and maintain a monthly production equipment maintenance program
  6. Schedule, perform and document all repairs, parts replacements on equipment
  7. Maintain parts inventory for production equipment, ensure necessary spare parts are on hand to prevent equipment down time; maintain complete equipment inventory
  8. Keep maintenance shop cleaned and organized
  9. Perform a variety of plumbing, maintenance and carpentry functions
  10. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters and material handling equipment in performing duties
  11. Comply with safety regulations and maintain clean and orderly work areas
  12. Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications/Skills

Education: High School diploma or GED required

Skills

  1. 4+ years of manufacturing experience; strong hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical and industrial skills with some PLC experience and HVAC preferred
  2. Demonstrated ability to operate forklift and pallet jack; Forklift certification preferred
  3. Fluent in English (oral and written), fluent in Spanish a plus
  4. Good oral and written communication skills

Farm Associate - Culver, OR


Job Summary

The main purpose of this position is to provide support in all activities related to planting, growing and harvesting annual crops on the OWH farm properties, as directed by Farm Manager and following all regulatory and safety policies and practices.

Key Function/Job Responsibilities

  1. Follow SOP (Standard Operating Procedures) #100- #199 at all times;
  2. Follow good sanitation practices at all times;
  3. Follow good safety policies and practices at all times;
  4. Perform equipment maintenance as indicated and qualified and maintain the log record of maintenance;
  5. Perform tractor work to include: 
    1. Disking
    2. Mowing
    3. Cultivating
    4. Planting
    5. Excavating
    6. Fertilizing
    7. Harvesting
  6. Assist with production in greenhouses to include:
    1. Seed planting
    2. Transplant
    3. Irrigation
    4. Fertilize plants
    5. Rotating
    6. Maintain accurate records
  7. Perform hand/manual work in the field to include, but not limited to:
    1. Rock removal
    2. Plant clipping
    3. Weeding with hand tools (hoes, shovels, rakes, clippers)
    4. Some use of small engine devices for plant maintenance (i.e. blowers, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, etc.)
    5. Fence repair and installation
  8. ​Set up and maintain irrigation systems as needed:
    1. Drip irrigation in Goldenseal
    2. Field irrigation
  9. Assist with Herb Drying:
    1. Temperature regulation
    2. Loading/unloading of dryers
    3. Packaging and labelling dry goods or materials
    4. Maintain accurate records - dryer records, inventory updates, etc.
  10. Help with daily cleaning; and with the equipment and maintenance of tools:
    1. Barn, greenhouse and other work areas are clean and organized
    2. Tools are washed and stored correctly
    3. Collecting racks are cleaned and stored correctly
    4. Floors swept
    5. Knives, machetes and clippers are maintained and stored correctly
    6. Dirty clothes are brought to the house for washing
    7. Doors are closed at the end of the day
  11. Collaborate on other projects as necessary:
    1. Goldenseal
    2. Show gardens
    3. Bulk inventory
  12. Special duties as assigned by the Farm Manager or Assistant Farm Manager.

 

 

Qualifications/Skills

Classification: Seasonal Full-time/Hourly (not eligible for OT)

Skills

  1. Must be reliable and committed to quality work ethic
  2. Must be able to operate farm equipment, including tractor and possess a valid Oregon driver’s license and pass a Motor Vehicle Record check
  3. Knowledge of the English language helpful, but not required
  4. Ability to other jobs such as installing and repairing fencing and other heavy work is a plus
