- We use only the green aerial parts of the plant which are harvested just before reaching full flower. According to the traditional herbal textbooks this is the form they refer to as the fruits (seeds) or green tops.

Suggested Use
Take 1 mL three times daily in warm water or juice. 1 mL = approx. 40 drops.
Background and Use
Oats have been eaten since ancient times. The genus name, Avena, means "nourishing". The species name, sativa means "cultivated".
Traditionally, Oat is principally used as a nerve tonic for "weakness of the nerves" and nicotine withdrawal. Its nourishing restorative properties were valued for renewing and strengthening the vitality of the nervous system.
