Background and Use

The consumption of Beets is prevalent in Eastern Europe and Russia where the popular soup, Borscht, is derived. This nutritious vegetable has recently been investigated for properties beyond that of a culinary root. Beets have been used for many years as a source of betanin (a natural red food coloring). This is a natural compound that is part of a family known as betalains. Recently, the antioxidant properties of these phytonutrients have been studied.

This product provides the beneficial fiber that is naturally present in organic Beets, and is NOT an extract juice product.

Precautions

Keep out of reach of children. Discontinue if unusual symptoms occur.  Warning: Consumption of large quantities of beets can make both urine and stools turn red.
