The roots of this Alfalfa grow deep into fertile organic soils to convey many essential nutrients to the leafy tops, and are harvested at maturity to ensure high quality plant material. Alfalfa has long been recognized as a powerhouse of nutrients. The fresh organic tops are dried and milled and immediately encapsulated.

The name is derived from the Arabic word al-fac-facah, meaning "father of all foods". Historically, Arabs used Alfalfa to feed horses because it was believed that this nutritious herb could make horses stronger. Medicinally, Alfalfa has widespread use and has been used traditionally in traditional Chinese medicine, India and by North American Indians.
