Description
This extract has been carefully hand-crafted using herb that is wildcrafted from the Pacific Northwest. Whole lichen is extracted with organic alcohol to retain all the active constituents that are naturally present in this plant. Since lichens are very sensitive to pollutants we are careful to collect Usnea from unpolluted areas.

Suggested Use
Take 1 mL three times daily. 1 mL = approx. 40 drops.
Background and Use
Usnea has been used medicinally for thousands of years, with references found in ancient Egypt, Greece, and China texts. Usnea is also known as "old man's beard" and is a commonly seen hanging from the trees and branches in unpolluted forest areas. It was used topically as type of wound dressing before it was used internally.
In the Chinese Materia Medica of traditional Chinese medicine, Usnea is listed as having the following traditional uses: cleanses lungs, resolves phlegm, controls bleeding, removes toxins.
